Vires Fitness is dedicated to the training of Functional Strength. The human body does not think or act in single, isolated muscle groups, but in movements. Functional Strength training is the process of developing not just muscular strength, but strength of the joints and soft tissues, plus the development of flexibility, co-ordination and increased proprioception.
The signature tool of Functional Strength Training is the Kettlebell, but also utilises power clubs, power bags (sand bags), bodyweight exercises, plyometrics, yoga, and balance/core development tools. Functional Strength Training utilizes full body training programs, with dynamic and ballistic exercises maximising muscle groups used.
Core development is a key aspect of Functional Strength Training. A strong core is essential for the support of thebody, and for efficient exercise.
